Our Heritage

1981
Foundation
Founded as 'Batch Shipping Agency' with the first office located in Sterling Life Building, Makati. Key founders: Mrs. Turingan, Mrs. Colemenar, and Mrs. Purificacion.
1984
Leadership & Expansion
Mr. Ruben Turingan became Vice President. The company expanded with an Arabian employer and partnership with Giorgius Vlachos. First vessel: M/V Angelica, owned by Engr. Dimitri Ploumis.
1990
Family Legacy
One of the sons of Mr. & Mrs. Turingan joined M/V Raven, continuing the family tradition in maritime excellence.
1991
Fleet Growth
M/V Woodpecker joined the fleet. The company transferred to the Villaflor Building in 1992.
1996
Strategic Evolution
Discussed selling M/V Rovin (the oldest vessel). Office transferred to Olympic Building, Buendia Avenue.
1997
International Partnership
Welcomed the unique vessel M/V Matumba from Athens, Greece.
2004
New Headquarters
Transferred to Jardine Davies Building.
2005
Strategic Alliance
AST Shipping partnered with D-H, alongside Julius Moscoso.
2009
Community Impact
Moved to Chatham House and initiated community CSR projects, including donating to Casa Miani orphanage.
